Welcome to the March 2025 newsletter of the Arts for Good Foundation. Since January 2025, I have been thrilled to supervise five student teams comprising of 22 students in the Creative Communication programme at the School of English, University of Hong Kong. These teams are working on their happiness projects, which will all be exhibited at Hong Kong Art Development Council's SHOWCASE Landmark South gallery in mid-May 2025.

I am excited to support various creative projects in cultural tourism that are leveraging AI technology and social media. I am also supporting some of their creative initiatives related to the pet economy, social engagement and social agendas through artistic expressions. I am also pleased to mentor the students as they develop their passionate projects from original concepts to detailed execution, fostering authentic learning in the process.

Equally importantly, we support students in conveying their ideas through engaging visual creations and artistic articulation, which will connect with viewers and build strong and meaningful narratives throughout their projects. We deeply appreciate the students' creativity and their sense of purpose, as it shows that they value life experiences, emotional and social wellbeing, social consciousness and responsibilities. In the process, we encourage them to explore and make thoughtful use of emerging technology on their exciting personal and professional journeys.

Best regards,

Better City, Better Life: “Along the River During Qingming Festival - Kwun Tong”- Part 2: Kwun Tong Maryknoll College (KTMC)

We are thrilled to have completed the project "Along the River During Qingming Festival - Kwun Tong" in partnership with KTMC. Our goal was to immerse the students in the vibrant life of Kwun Tong while guiding them through a creative processes inspired by the classic Chinese painting.  The project aims to help students connect with their community while interpreting and expressing their experiences through art.

Following the project evaluation process, we are pleased to have received very positive feedback from the students and frontline teachers. These feedbacks are incredibly encouraging as we continue our journey to create community-centric creative projects that advocate for sustainability, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) for young people in Hong Kong.

Frontline teachers's feedback:
"After 16 sessions of the creative process, I have noticed changes in myself, and I feel more conscious of our community and the daily surroundings in which we live."

Students's Feedback:
"This experience was eye opening; I learned that our surroundings can become a source of creativity".

"It made me more aware of my living environment".

"I also gained a deeper understanding of how relevant classic Chinese painting and realistic and surrealistic creation in our daily lives".

We are proud to have added another successful project to our portfolio. This further demonstrates our commitment to the local community and showcases the positive change we bring to the education in Hong Kong.

歡迎閱讀Arts for Good Foundation 2025年3月資訊。
