Welcome to the October 2023 newsletter from the Arts for Good Foundation.  This month, I was delighted to participate in The Global Conference on Sustainable Development 2023 and attend the Launch of the University Sustainability Index by The Chinese University of Hong Kong. During the conference, speeches by Mr. Ban Ki-moon, former United Nations Secretary-General and Co-Chair of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens, and Professor Jeffrey D.Sachs, President of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, were incredibly inspiring. Their visionary speeches highlighted the importance of collaboration at various levels and the engagement of young people in sustainable development for our future.

Every social enterprise begins with a story and a key part of that narrative is often the personality of its founder. I am thrilled to have been able to share my story in the past month with a group of art and cultural professionals who are studying in the MA in Arts and Cultural Enterprises programme at HKU SPACE. At the same time, I am very grateful for the beautiful writing of business communicator Neil Dolby, who shared my story in the recently published article "Agent of Good". I invite our audiences to read the article and to watch a video highlight - both shared insights to the origins of the Arts for Good Foundation and the values that are deeply embedded in every stage of our work.

Best regards,

Exhibition at The University of Chicago Hong Kong

We are thrilled to be launching an exhibition in collaboration with The University of Chicago Campus in Hong Kong. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring artists who offer their unique perspectives of community-rooted stories, the history of Hong Kong, and the geographical, historical, and human connections with the Canton area.

We are committed to continuous learning, growing, and connecting. We maintain our unique focus on artists who create artworks based on individual stories which reflect the broader changes in Hong Kong and its connection with the world.

Throughout this process, we persist in educating young people with impactful stories that have touched us, inspiring them with more profound and broader perspectives to take forward on their personal and professional journeys.
